UPDATE: The line has reopened and journeys are continuing as normal.

An 'incident' at a Glasgow train station has prompted an emergency response.

ScotRail announced that 999 crews are currently dealing with an incident at High Street station in the city centre.

Due to this, the line is closed from Glasgow Queen Street Low Level towards High Street.

The rail provider is warning commuters that services are disrupted.

A statement posted to ScotRail's X, formerly Twitter account, reads: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident at High Street, the line is closed from Glasgow Queen Street Lower Level towards High Street disrupting our services.

"We will keep you updated."

The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed it did attend a medical-related call.
