Verdict: Five stars.

The Sugababes and their incredible harmonies are the set essential for every music festival this summer.

The trio - back to their 1998 formation lineup of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy, more than impressed with their debut at TRNSMT music festival in Glasgow on Friday.

The anticipation for this set was high given the frenzy surrounding their Glastonbury performance and the girls more than delivered.

Opening up with Freak Like Me, they set the tone by delivering a masterclass on how to perform good pop music.

Red Dress and Hole in the Head followed before the Love Actually featured song Too Lost In You showed their ability to switch easily between up-tempo and ballad.

Keisha then beamed: “What a turnout. We always love coming to perform here.”

Mutya added: “I feel a bit disoriented, what is this sunshine?”

Rain or shine, this group and their vocals are incredible. They might have changed the line-up over the years, perhaps more than most music fans can remember.

But that should never be their legacy as their r’n’b tinged pop tunes are still relevant today and let’s not forget incredibly catchy.

A performance of the Garage classic Flowers, originally sung by Sweet Female Attitude, delighted the crowd while Push the Button really got the party started.

Round Round and About You Now completed their TRNSMT leaving fans wanting more of The Sugababes and who can blame them?
