Verdict: Four stars.
Declan McKenna was an infectious addition to TRNSMT's main stage line-up today.
Lifting his can in the air before he sang his first note, the 25-year-old made a statement - we're going to have fun. And we certainly did.
Kicking off his set with one of his new tunes, Sympathy, the Enfield-born star said: "It's good to be back TRNSMT, we love you."
The singer went on to sing a mix of old songs like Isombard and Why Do You Feel So Down? from his debut album, What Do You Think About The Car? as he told the excited crowd, "Okay, we're going to dance now."
Jumping into newer songs from albums Zeros and What Happened to the Beach? the singer certainly kept his word as he ran around the stage, jumping, singing and playing guitar - all at the same time.
And when it came time for his huge tune, Brazil - it was fans who were busting a move as they ran to get as close to the front as possible.
As the sun grew stronger on Glasgow Green, McKenna proved he is the ultimate fun frontman, with genuine passion and raw energy oozing from each song of the set.
The star had so much fun up on the stage and was a genuine joy to watch. But compliments should be paid to his incredibly tight band too, whose talent seemed immeasurable at points.
McKenna finished off his set with his tune British Bombs where he took the Glasgow phrase - Taps aff - quite seriously, ripping off his shirt and using the whole main stage to run and jump about.
We had a lot of fun Mr McKenna, until next time...
