Verdict: Five stars.
Rick Astley revealed his ties with Glasgow during his set at TRNSMT today.
Coming on stage in a full black suit, the star told the crowd: "The last time I wore this suit was at my daughter's wedding and you know where it was? Here, in Scotland, because my daughter's husband is from Glasgow."
He added: "So if they have wee bairns, my possible future grandkids will be at least half Glaswegian."
Aside from family ties to the city, Astley immediately wowed the crowd as he sang the opening bars of Never Gonna Stop, unleashing vocals which proved to be as impeccable as ever.
Musicality aside, Astley was a great comic throughout the performance.
Before singing Together Forever, he teased the crowd saying: "Did you all ask your mums and grandmas to play my CDs before you came today?"
He then went on to say: "Never Gonna Give You Up comes at the end of the set, don't worry."
Introducing the song She Wants To Dance With Me, the star said: "Back in the 80s I used to do a lot of dancing but now I'm 58 and I've been told that there is not enough insurance in the world that would let me dance on this stage."
He then went on to weave the hit song with Lizzo's Juice - much to the crowd's delight.
Astley kept the cover streak going as he sang Sam Fender's Seventeen Going Under and even got behind the drum kit to play - and sing - AC/DC's Highway To Hell.
Before going onto his big hit Never Gonna Give You Up, the star attempted to cover Seven Nation Army, which was met with a chorus of No Scotland No Party - much to Astley's visible amusement.
Rick Astley has always been a legend since rising to fame in the late eighties and on this breezy Saturday evening in Glasgow, he proved why he always will be.
