Verdict: Four stars.
Singer Tom Grennan declared you can’t beat a crowd like the Scots as he wowed fans at the TRNSMT main stage on Sunday.
Running on stage, the high-energy star set the tone for his performance from the get-go as he launched into All These Nights.
He then asked: “TRNSMT! How we feeling?
“How are we doing people? It’s good to be back in Scotland.”
The 29-year-old added: “This is my fifth time playing this festival. It’s always my favourite to play.
“You cannot beat a crowd like the Scots.”

And that enthusiasm was match by the TRNSMT audience who packed out the front of the stage to sample the best of Grennan’s offering including the 2017 hit Found What I’ve Been Looking For.
Confetti then poured from the stage for Crown Your Love which Grennan vocally sounded phenomenal on.
With his backing singer Angel providing stunning vocals, the singer performed the Joel Corry produced dance smash Lionheart (Fearless) proving Grennan can switch easily between ballad and up-tempo.
Gearing the crowd for Calvin Harris headlining, he then had everyone singing ‘Here we f***ing go’ to By Your Side, a song produced by the DJ.
Teasing some new music, he told TRNSMT fans: “I have been working so hard. I can’t wait to show you new music. It’s coming real soon.”
And that’s something the TRNSMT fans will no doubt be willing to wait for as they soaked up every inch of Grennan’s set singing back to him in unison.
Finishing off in style, he said: “I wanna say this and I know every artist says this, you are the best crowd in the world,” as he belted out the smash Little Bit of Love much to the delight of the crowd.
