A teenager was attacked in front of the ferris wheel at TRNSMT music festival on Saturday.

CID investigating the serious assault said it was witnessed by numerous people when it happened at around 3.10pm. They have launched a manhunt to find the pair responsible. 

The 16-year-old victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment after he was left with serious injuries, 

Descriptions have been released of the two men cops want to speak to. One is around 6ft in height, of slim build, aged around 19 to 20 years old, with a dark buzz cut hairstyle and a half sleeve tattoo on his right arm. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black bucket hat and Scotland saltire flag wrapped around him.

The other man is described as around 6ft 1in in height, of slim build, aged around 19 to 20 years old, with dark hair. He was wearing a light-coloured top.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Greenshields, of Shettleston CID, said: “This incident has left the victim with serious injuries, and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify the males responsible.

“Numerous people will have witnessed this incident, and we would urge anyone with any information that could assist with our enquiries to come forward.

It comes after we revealed, over the course of the TRNSMT weekend, there were 40 arrests made, 21 of which were inside the venue and 19 were outside. 

We also reported that a teenager was left with a "head wound" following a disturbance in Glasgow Green while thousands of revellers were at TRNSMT nearby. 

The disturbance happened near the boat house at around 4pm on Saturday, July 13. 

A 15-year-old boy was treated by medical staff for a wound on his head.
