A THUG gouged a woman's eyes leaving her bleeding during a horror attack.
Anthony Mahood pounced on the terrified victim at a flat in Glasgow's East End last October 24.
The 25-year-old - freed on bail just two months earlier - struck after going into a bad mood having made a false accusation against the woman.
He yelled at her to come into the bedroom before punching her in the eye and yelling at her: "Admit it".
Raging Mahood grabbed her in a headlock and stubbed a lit cigarette out on her arm.
Prosecutor Vish Kathuria told the High Court in Paisley: "He then put his two fingers into her eye sockets causing both to bleed.
"The woman was screaming in pain and trying to get him to stop. He told her: 'Shut the f*** up'."
Mahood, of Alexandria, left the room and the terrified victim managed to flee. She desperately thumped on a neighbour's door for help.
But, she was soon dragged back in before the thug started shaving at her head with hair clippers.
Mr Kathuria said: "He then began to kick her in the ribs and stamped on her head causing her to lose consciousness for a few seconds."
Mahood also bit the victim, twisted her skin and clamped his hands around her throat insisting he was going to kill her.
The woman eventually passed out and only came to when police turned up.
They had been alerted by a concerned neighbour.
Officers heard the victim's screams and demanded entry. Mahood stood behind the door casually smoking a cigarette.
He yelled to them: "Give me five minutes. I know I am getting the jail for this."
Police had to force their way in and then found the victim drifting in and out of consciousness while stating she was struggling to breathe.
She received hospital treatment for a collapsed lung, a badly swollen face, injuries to her back and bite marks.
The woman was left with a number of scars including from the cigarette burn.
She also has a "tingling" sensation in her right cheek which has yet to disappear.
Mahood was held for the attack. The victim's blood was found on his trainers.
Mahood pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman to her severe injury, permanent disfigurement and impairment as well as to the danger of her life.
The hearing was told the assailant was twice previously locked up for violence and robbery.
He was on bail at the time for a theft offence.
Mahood was remanded in custody as sentencing was deferred for reports until August 14 in Edinburgh.
