THIEVES reportedly broke into and trashed a church hall in the North of Glasgow.
The hall at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Maryhill is said to have been broken into sometime on Monday night.
Father Jim Law discovered that the main doors, cupboards and storage units within the bar had been 'trashed' - and 'more than 30 litres of alcoholic spirits' had been nicked.
In a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, the Parish Priest said: "The church hall was burgled last night.
"The main doors, bar internal cupboards and storage for Tuesday and Thursday clubs have been trashed.
"The alarm spooked the culprits but 30+ litres of spirits have gone. Unfortunately, the police are unable to attend until tomorrow.
"So lucky in Maryhill but today we're sad."
