A young carer has designed an inspiring poster for a local charity's zipslide challenge.
Nine-year-old Josefina Polson designed Carers Link East Dunbartonshire's poster for its Zipslide the Clyde challenge which is set to return on September 6.
The event is open to those aged 10 and above.
To sign up, go to www.carerslink.org.uk/events/zipslide-the-clyde/.
Zipsliders will launch off a 100ft high crane next to the Glasgow Riverside Museum to raise funds for the charity that provides support, advocacy, and information to unpaid carers and family members in the area.
Josefina, who is from Milngavie, said: “I love art because it is fun, and I find it relaxing. I get to be creative and find inspiration.
"I researched photos of the Squinty Bridge, Glasgow, and felt inspired to include it in my drawing for Carers Link’s Zipslide poster.
"The person in my drawing is a made up character called Antony. He loves adventure and he is not afraid of heights.
"I hope people will be inspired by ‘Antony’ and take part in the Zipslide. They will have a chance to have fun, get outdoors and see some great sights.
"With Carers Link I get to meet other young carers and enjoy activities and a break from caring."
For 20 years, Carers Link has provided vital services such as information, one-to-one support, practical advice, and wellbeing groups for young and adult carers.
The Milngavie-based charity has served more than 6,600 carers including 564 young carers.
Carers Link also collaborates with local schools to provide emotional support, information, and advocacy services, as well as holiday breaks and activities to young carers aged eight to 25.
Jennifer Roe, chief executive officer of Carers Link East Dunbartonshire, said: "Thanks to Josefina’s inspiring poster and bravery in taking part, am sure thrill-seekers will be encouraged to raise crucial funds for Carers Link.
"Fundraising has a huge positive impact on our local unpaid carers who need our support and services more than ever.
"We hope that Zipsliders will be able to raise between £200-£300 each to enable us to cover our costs. We have 7 places left so don’t miss out.”
