An international star has announced a Glasgow gig as part of his record-breaking worldwide tour.

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh will play the OVO Hydro on September 26 as part of the UK and European leg of the Dil-luminati tour.

His tour so far has broken records in the US after he performed 13 sold-out shows in North America - the largest tour on the continent by any Punjabi artist. 

Diljit's hits include G.O.A.T, Lover and Proper Patola which all have hundreds of millions of views online as well as his songs boasting 18.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

His work in the Indian cinema scene has brought him further fame, his most recent films Crew, Jatt and Juliet 3 and Amar Singh Chamkila all released this year.

Last year, Diljit became the first Indian-born artist to perform at the American festival Coachella and he now sets his sights on the UK and Europe where he will play eight shows.

Ticket sales begin with the presale at 9am on Wednesday, July 31, followed by general sale tickets at 9am Friday, August 2.
