UPDATE: 'Severe delays' to Glasgow Airport due to incident on M8.
Part of Glasgow's M8 has been closed due to an emergency incident.
Traffic Scotland said the motorway's westbound carriageway at Junction 27 (Arkleston Interchange) has been shut following a collision.
999 crews are currently in attendance at the incident.
It is unknown if anyone has been injured during it, however, the road firm says traffic is 'picking up' in the area.
Meanwhile, police have urged drivers to take alternative routes while they deal with the smash.

Reports on social media told of a 'huge backlog' due to the incident.
One person said: "Stuck in a huge backlog of standstill traffic on the M8 west."
Another wrote: "Major incident, lots of cars involved."
A third added: "Serious car collision M8 Paisley turnoff just before the airport westbound. Lots of cars involved."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "The M8 is currently closed westbound following a road crash near to Junction 27 at Hillington.
"Drivers are asked to take an alternative route while the vehicles are recovered."
