A man tried to climb onto a wall above a stairwell before lashing out and kicking a police officer.
Grzegorz Bieniek, 45, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing recently after pleading guilty to three charges.
These included shouting, swearing, acting in an aggressive manner, repeatedly uttering offensive remarks and threats towards police, uttering homophobic remarks, assaulting an officer by kicking them on the body and attempting to punch another.
The court heard that cops were called to a disturbance at a property on Elvan Street in Glasgow’s East End at around 5.25pm on January 23, 2024.
On arrival, officers could hear loud banging and a man shouting in a foreign language.
Police attended at the door of a property where they heard a male voice, now known to be Bieniek, shouting and growling.
Cops heard an object hit off of the door and requested for backup to attend.

Officers remained outside of the property and tried to engage with Bieniek.
He exited and presented in an aggressive manner shouting in Polish.
Police placed hands on Bieniek and at this time he made an attempt to climb onto a wall above a stairwell at the property.
He then raised a fist in an attempt to punch officers and continued to shout at them.
Bieniek lashed out at police kicking and striking an officer before attempting to punch another.
He was taken to the prone position and escorted from the building shouting “c***s” and “f*****s”.
Bieniek was cautioned and charged and continued to growl and grunt at police.
He was taken to a police van and referred to an officer as a “j***y j****r” which was determined to be offensive.

Bieniek was also heard to shout in multiple languages including Polish, Kurdish, and Spanish.
He was eventually processed and placed in a cell until he was sober.
Bieniek’s lawyer told the court that her client had “no memory” of the incident.
The defence solicitor added: “This was completely unacceptable and really bizarre behaviour demonstrated by Mr Bieniek.
“He has no memory of that.”
Sheriff Mary Shields placed Bieniek on a community payback order with social work supervision and a requirement to attend alcohol counselling for 18 months.
He was also tagged for four months keeping him indoors between 7pm and 7am.
