NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has welcomed 277 new junior doctors this year.
The latest cohort will kickstart their medical careers in various hospitals and healthcare facilities.
This includes Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow Royal Infirmary, the Royal Hospital for Children, the Royal Alexandra Hospital and Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
The first-year doctors are set to participate in a week of induction which involves spending some time under the guidance of current trainees before setting off on their rotations across different hospital departments on August 7.
Working across numerous disciplines and specialties such as general medicine, surgery, and paediatrics, these junior doctors will crucially support the medical teams.
Colin Perry, director of Medical Education at NHSGGC, said: "I am delighted to welcome our junior doctors to the organisation.
"The detailed and carefully planned induction highlights our dedication and commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care by fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.
"Our junior doctors will play a critical role in the future of the NHS, and they have worked extremely hard to get where they are today."
Each junior doctor will be supported with an ongoing induction programme along with mentorship from senior members of staff.
He added: "Our commitment to delivering patient centred care will be further enhanced by our new recruits, who will have access to a range of resources to support them throughout their healthcare careers.
"This is the next generation of medical professionals, and it is excellent to see the number of individuals who want to join NHSGGC.
"As an employer, we are committed to providing them with the resources they need to ensure they have a successful transition into their new role, with a dual focus on their education and wellbeing.
"I look forward to seeing their progress over time as well as the positive impact they will have across our workforce."
