DRIVERS are being warned of overnight closures on Glasgow’s Kingston Bridge.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is set to undertake essential inspection works between junctions 19 and 20 of the M8 motorway.
Inspections of the bridge’s spandrel wall will be carried out from Monday, August 5 to Thursday, August 8 between 10pm and 6am each day.
The Kingston Bridge is the most used road bridge in Scotland and amongst the busiest in Europe.
It is expected that this work will benefit more than 146,000 vehicles using this route every day.
Diversion routes will be in place during this period.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.
Amey notes that all works are weather-dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled due to poor weather.
