A PROTEST is set to take place in Glasgow this weekend to "push back the fascists".
Stand Up To Racism has organised a national day of protest called Stop The Far Right which is set to take place on George Square on Saturday, August 10 at 11am.
In a post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, the campaign group wrote: "This Saturday, we’re calling for mass anti racist resistance in every town and city to push back the fascists."

A number of similar protests have been planned for towns and cities across the UK on Saturday, including in Dundee and Edinburgh.
Glasgow Zine Library, in Govanhill, has said it will open on Friday, August 9 from 12pm to 6pm to provide free placard making materials for anyone attending the protest.

It comes after riots have taken place in several towns and cities in England over the last week, which have seen supermarkets and libraries torched and shops looted.
The disorder follows the tragic deaths of Bebe King (six), Elsie Dot Stancombe (seven) and Alice Dasilva Aguiar (nine) who were killed on Monday, July 29 in Southport while attending a Taylor Swift themed dance class.
The first riot was in the Merseyside town on the same day a vigil was held for the girls after misinformation spread online that the suspect was an asylum seeker.
We previously reported police in Glasgow have issued a statement following speculation of a protest in the city today.
It comes after information has been spread regarding a potential far-right hate march taking place in George Square on Wednesday, August 7.
However, a statement by Police Scotland Greater Glasgow reads: "We are aware of speculation circulating about a protest in George Square today.
"There is no intelligence to suggest any protest is planned. Please be wary of what you read on social media and chat groups, and avoid speculation and sharing information which may be inaccurate."
