A Halloween performance of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is set to take place in Bearsden for one night only.

No Nonsense Productions theatre company will stage Frankenstein: The Radio Play on October 31 at Kilmardinny House.

The show will be presented as a 1950s radio play, complete with live sound effects and period music.

Three actors will take on multiple roles to tell the classic tale of Dr Frankenstein.

Councillor Jim Gibbons, chairman of EDLC Trust, said: "We are committed to increasing quality performances and events across East Dunbartonshire and Kilmardinny House, with its beautiful Georgian architecture and stunning grounds is the perfect venue for an atmospheric period play.

“This performance is the second theatre production programmed by EDLC cultural services at this venue and follows A Christmas Carol; A Radio Play which was very well-received by those who attended in December 2023.

"I would encourage everyone who can, to take this opportunity to enjoy some top-notch theatre right on our doorstep."

The show takes place at 7.30pm and free parking is available on site.

Director Kevin Jannetts has previously produced a sell-out Para Handy at Kirkintilloch Town Hall and It's a Wonderful Life at various venues across Scotland.

No Nonsense also staged A Christmas Carol; A Radio Play at Kilmardinny House in December 2023.
