A man has been left seriously injured after being brutally attacked by a thug wearing a black mask in Clydebank.
The incident took place on Craigbanzo Street in the town on Friday, August 16, at around 10.30pm.
Officers say a 34-year-old man was seriously assaulted by another man in the area.

During the attack, the victim suffered significant injury to his shoulder and arm.
He was rushed to hospital where medics have described his condition as being serious.
Now, detectives are on the hunt for the culprit.
The suspect is described as being a large-built male, around 6ft 4inch tall, and was wearing all black with a black mask and black skip cap.
Police are also appealing for witnesses following the shocking serious assault.

Detective Constable Jack Muir from Clydebank CID said: “This attack has resulted in the victim sustaining very serious injuries and we are eager to trace the male responsible, as well as hear from anyone who witnessed what happened.
“If you were in the Craigbanzo Street area on Friday evening and saw anything suspicious or believe you can help us identify the male responsible, then please contact police immediately.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "Those with information can contact Police Scotland via 101 and quote incident number 4356 of August 16.
"Alternatively, you can make an anonymous report to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
