A big event is set to be held at Braehead Shopping Centre this month.

The leisure facility has announced that Braehead Arena's Film & Comic Con will be making a return this year.

The event will be held on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25.

On Saturday, it will take place from 9am until 6pm, while on Sunday, it will be held from 10am to 5pm.

Revealing the event, the leisure centre says it will include an incredible line-up of stars from iconic superhero, sci-fi fantasy, and cult classic TV and film shows.

Attendees will also be able to learn tips and tricks on costume design, make-up, and character creation from experts.

Announcing the event on social media, Braehead Centre said: "Save the date.

"Braehead Arena's Film & Comic Con is back on August 24 and 25.

"Who is your fave character from films & comics?"

Meanwhile, Emma McDougall, marketing manager at Braehead Shopping Centre said: “Braehead Shopping Centre is absolutely delighted to welcome back Film & Comic Con at Braehead Arena this August.

“This is a staple event in the Braehead’s calendar and we can’t wait to see the excitement and energy that this event will bring to our centre.”

Tickets for standard entry (from 11am) are free for those aged under four and start from £6 for children and £12 for adults.
