Two newly completed council housing developments in Airdrie are providing an additional 56 homes for residents in the town.
Housing convener Michael McPake visited the Petersburn sites to celebrate the official completion and to welcome tenants into their new properties.
The £3.6 million Glenacre Drive project completed by McTaggart Construction and supported by £1.3 million in Scottish government funding, has brought forward 16 homes.
These include a mixture of amenity bungalows, wheelchair-accessible houses and cottage flats.
The £9 million Petersburn Road development, finished earlier this month, comprises 40 homes, and was supported by Scottish government funding of £3.4 million.
The new site boasts accessible and family-friendly housing options.
Councillor McPake said: "As part of our plan to deliver 5,000 new homes by 2035, these projects are an example of our vision for the future.
"These developments highlight our commitment to our regenerating communities and providing modern, accessible housing for our residents.
"Projects like this are more than just homes, they provide the foundation for regeneration, which will help our communities thrive, boost the local economy and help create new jobs."
Janice Russell, managing director with McTaggart Construction, said: "We are delighted to partner with North Lanarkshire Council to deliver 16 high-quality homes at Glenacre Drive and 40 at Charles Quadrant on schedule.
"As specialist builders of affordable housing, we passionately believe developments like these positively change lives and communities.
"McTaggart Constructions' commitment to supporting social and economic growth for North Lanarkshire Council residents is supported by our wider community benefit initiatives which supported the creation of six new permanent jobs, including roles for two young people with additional support needs, as well as providing a new outdoor classroom for St Dominic's Primary School next door."
