A well-known Glasgow restaurant loved for its Sunday roasts and popular £10 steak deal will open a third venue next month.

The Loveable Rogue is expanding to the Southside with a new eatery on Nithsdale Road, where the former coffee and wine bar Sur Lie operated.

We previously reported on owners Joe and Amalia Lazzerini's plans to take the Loveable Rogue 'south' after refurbishing the empty unit.

This new spot adds to their roster of restaurants on Great Western Road in the West End and on Whitehill Road in the East End of the city.

Now the duo plans to unveil the Southside venue in September.

They said on Instagram: "The Rogue is coming to Glasgow’s Southside.

"We are thrilled to announce that we will be opening a new restaurant on Nithsdale Road in September 2024.

"That means all the things you have grown to love at Rogue West & East like our Sunday roasts, steak nights and tasting menus will soon be available South of the river."

As well as serving up a popular Sunday roast, The Loveable Rogue offers a brunch menu, a range of mains and sides, and a special 'steak night' menu which includes steak frites for £10.

We reported in 2023 that the restaurant was one of seven in Glasgow to be named on the list of the top 100 local eateries by the Good Food Guide.

City centre Italian spot Celentano's was featured, as was Eighty Eight in Partick.

Ga Ga Kitchen & Bar, also in Partick and the Mediterranean-inspired spot Gloriosa have been named, and Bar Brett and Eusebi Deli were also recognized by the publication.
