AN area has been taped off near Buchanan Bus Station after a report of a woman being 'raped'.
Cops were called to a stairway between North Hanover Street and St Mungo Avenue at around 12.10am this morning following a report of the serious sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman.
It is understood police received report of a rape.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
A picture from the scene this morning shows police in attendance with part of the walkway taped off.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.10am on Saturday, August 24, we received a report of the serious sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman between North Hanover Street and St Mungo Avenue, Glasgow.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
