STARS of stage and screen, including a famous Peaky Blinders actor, met in Glasgow’s West End to promote a thrilling new drama partly filmed in the city.
Joe Cole and Alexandra Roach head the cast of Nightsleeper, a real-time thriller set on the overnight train from Glasgow to London.
Two people who have never met, one on the train and one not, work together to save the lives of passengers, while a government agency desperately tries to intervene in the rapidly-escalating events onboard.
The opening scenes, full of nailbiting tension, are filmed in Central Station, where Joe – who played John Shelby in Birmingham razor gang drama Peaky Blinders – chases a bag-snatcher across the platforms and concourse.
Safely back on the train, where relieved staff and passengers hail him as a hero, he is unaware that the real drama of the night is about to unfold.

Joe and Alexandra, who starred in Utopia and No Offence, join a host of Scottish stars in the show, which is coming to BBC One later this year.
Two Doors Down actor Sharon Rooney and Harry Potter star Katie Leung feature, alongside Alex Ferns, James Cosmo, Daniel Cahill, Sharon Small, Lois Chimimba, Leah MacRae and Scott Reid.
Written by BAFTA award-winner Nick Leather, who also penned The Control Room, the series is directed by Jamie Magnus Stone and John Hayes.
Joe and Alexandra joined cast and crew at a special screening of the first episode in the Grosvenor Picture House on Tuesday (August 27).
The series will start in September.
