An injured stray cat is looking for a new home after receiving urgent care for his poor state.
Merlin, a 12-year-old cat, was found with a broken tail, a skin condition and in desperate need of dental work.
Thanks to donations from the cat-loving community in Glasgow and beyond, Cats Protection Scotland Cat Centre was able to fund Merlin’s treatment, nursing him back to health.
He is now ready to find his forever home.
Helyn Nichol, deputy centre manager at Cats Protection Scotland Cat Centre, said: "We have been overwhelmed by the compassion showed by the public, which meant we could give Merlin the treatment he needed quickly.
"Sadly, the vets determined that Merlin’s tail injury was too severe to heal on its own, requiring amputation.
"However, he’s now pain-free and loving life once again."
People interested in rehoming Merlin can apply at https://www.cats.org.uk/glasgowac or by calling the centre on 0141 779 3341.
Merlin is described as a happy and chatty cat who loves a good chin scratch.
Helyn added: "We’ve unfortunately been unable to trace his owners, so Merlin is now looking to bring happiness into a new home.
"He’s such a friendly boy, so could potentially live with cat-savvy children.
"He does enjoy a wander, and we’d love to find him a home where he can explore the outdoors."
