A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car near a school.
Police say they were called to a report of a youngster being struck by a motor on North Road in Cumbernauld on Thursday, August 29.
The force was alerted to the incident at around 9am.

999 crews raced to the scene.
After that, a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
St Maurices High School in the North Lanarkshire town is located on North Road.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 9am on Thursday, August 29, 2024, we were called to a report of a male pedestrian having been struck by a car on North Road, Cumbernauld.
“Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old boy was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 8.58am to attend an incident on North Road, Cumbernauld.
"An ambulance was dispatched and one patient was transported to Wishaw General Hospital.”
