Primark in Braehead is getting a Shrek cafe with a limited edition menu.
The retailer has confirmed the new DreamWorks Animation theme will turn the store green from today.
Customers can have a taste of the swamp life, with delicious dishes, treats and drinks with a selection of nachos, tacos, waffles, shakes and bubble teas on offer, with prices starting from £3.95.
For hungry little ogres, the cafe’s best selling lunch box deal including a sandwich, snack, piece of fruit and a drink will also be available for £4.95.
In celebration of the beloved Shrek franchise, the DreamWorks Shrek Far Far Away Cafe is opening in Primark’s Manchester Market Street, Trafford Palazzo, Birmingham, Braehead, Edinburgh, and Cardiff stores, running until the beginning of November.
Products inspired by Shrek have been bestsellers since their arrival into Primark earlier this year, with accessories, socks, and onesies becoming fan favourites, and an even bigger range is expected to arrive in stores soon.
Tim Kelly, Director of New Business Development at Primark said: “We’ve gone Far, Far Away to find the inspiration for our latest cafe theme, bringing all the fun in the kingdom to our Primark cafes.
“Our revolving themes have been so popular with our customers, giving them more reasons to visit their local store.
"We can’t wait to welcome fans to the cafes and hope they enjoy our limited-edition menu fit for a fairytale!”
Shrek will also be making a special appearance at all cafe locations over the coming weeks, starting in the Manchester Trafford store tomorrow, Saturday 31st August.

It is understood the shop's click-and-collect service will start rolling out to stores across the country later this year.
The store expects the service to be live at all 184 shops in Scotland and England by the end of 2025.
Primark has stores across Glasgow including on Argyle Street, Sauchiehall Street, and the Forge Shopping Centre.
They also have stores across Greater Glasgow including in Braehead Shopping Centre, Clydebank, East Kilbride, Hamilton, and Motherwell.
