The View, from Dundee, shot to fame in the mid noughties to conquer indie charts and quickly catapulted to number one with their debut album ‘Hats Off To The Buskers’.
One of the biggest albums of 2007, it went platinum selling over 300,000 copies and earning the four school friends a Mercury Prize nomination.
‘Hats Off To Buskers’ also took The View into the singles charts with the number three smash and instant indie classic ‘Same Jeans’.

They also reached the Top 20 hits ‘Wasted Little DJs’ and ‘Superstar Tradesman’.
As their star continued to rise nationally, The View took home the gong for Best Track in 2007 at the NME Awards for ‘Wasted Little DJ’s’.
We previously reported how The View frontman Kyle Falconer launched into the national anthem at the Hydro after Scotland scored the opener in their Euros match against Switzerland tonight.
The Dundee outfit’s support set was in full swing during the match when Scott McTominay’s goal had the concert crowd celebrating.
The View then teased, ‘No Scotland, No Party’ before Falconer sang Flower of Scotland.
The jubilant atmosphere set the tone for the night with Scotland drawing the game against Switzerland.
