UPDATE: The roads have been reopened to traffic
ROADS in Glasgow city centre have been temporarily closed to all traffic due to ongoing protests in George Square.
George Square and Cochrane Street are currently closed between Queen Street and Montrose Street while Queen Street is closed between Ingram Street and St Vincent Place.
South Frederick Street is also closed between Cochrane Street and Ingram Street and Ingram Street is closed westbound at the junction with Glassford Street.

Road users are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
Drivers are asked to follow police guidance.
A "Pro-UK Rally" and a counter-protest organised by Stand Up To Racism are currently taking place in George Square.
We previously reported barriers had been set up in the square this morning to keep protestors apart.
