A PENSIONER has been rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car.
Emergency services were called to Eglington Street in the Southside at around 12.05am on Monday, September 2 following a report of a man being hit by a black Jeep Compass.
The 73-year-old as taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
The 30-year-old man driving the car was not injured.

An investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Constable Stuart Tangny said: "I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible."
