A MAN who threatened the founder of a Glasgow homeless charity has been sentenced.

Edward Henry, 56, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week after pleading guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards Colin McInnes - who runs Homeless Project Scotland – by uttering a threat of violence.

The incident took place on Argyle Street in the city centre on November 11, 2023.

The procurator fiscal depute told the court that the narrative of the incident had been restricted to a threat in which Mr Henry stated, “you’re dead”.

Addressing Henry, Sheriff Mary Shields said: “Mr Henry, I’m told by the author of the report that you accept your conduct was unacceptable.”

Henry replied: “Yes.”

Sheriff Shields placed Henry on a community payback order with 12 months social work supervision.
