The Erskine Bridge is set to be closed for several weekends to allow maintenance work to take place.
On behalf of Transport Scotland, Amey will be carrying out essential cable inspections on the busy road.
According to the firm, the inspections are required every four years. Amey says the work on the bridge has now been extended due to 'unavoidable weather delays'.
They are now scheduled to be completed on Saturday, October 26.

However, the travel company has said enabling works will take place every Friday and Saturday night from 8pm until 6am.
During the works, the southbound carriageway will be shut while a northbound offside lane closure will be in place on the road.
Meanwhile, Amey says Saturday evening closures are contingency and will only be required if weather conditions are unfavourable during Friday evening inspections.
A diversion will be in place for motorists during the closures.
