AN investigation has been launched after a vehicle was deliberately set on fire in Airdrie.
The incident happened around 9.10pm on Wednesday, September 11, when a black Porsche Cayenne was torched on Broomfield Street, near the junction with South Biggar Road.
No one was injured and the fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Police Scotland have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.

Detective constable David Williamson of Coatbridge CID, said: “We are fortunate that no one was hurt in this reckless act, but the damaged caused to the vehicle is significant.
“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are urging anyone with information or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
“We are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have dashcam footage or private CCTV from the surrounding area that could assist with our enquiries."
