A MAN locked up for being involved in serious organised crime was disqualified from driving today.
Gerard Carbin, 45, is awaiting sentence at the High Court in Glasgow after pleading guilty mid-trial last month.
Carbin was caught by driving without insurance in the city's Sighthill on January 23, 2023.
Court papers state that Carbin, of East Kilbride, was on bail from November 2022 at the time.

A special reasons proof was to take place today at Glasgow's Justice of the Peace court after he pleaded guilty to the single charge.
However, his lawyer Atlanta Jack told the court that the proof was no longer required and the matter could proceed to sentence.
She said: "He is remanded in custody waiting on a sentence at the High Court with a date set for next month."
It was revealed that Carbin already had six penalty points on his driving licence.
Justice Colin Marchment said: "I will endorse his driving licence with six penalty points and there will be a monetary fine of £500."
The justice asked Miss Jack how her client would like to pay and she replied: "No time to pay, he is in custody."
Justice Marchment replied: "This will be added to his sentence [at the High Court]."
Carbin had been joined in the dock at the High Court trial with stepdad Jamie 'Iceman' Stevenson who had recruited him into the crime clan.
Carbin was involved, at one stage, in the sale of one million street Valium before Stevenson asked him to "do job London making pills" taking "six weeks max".
A pill factory - which was later raided by Metropolitan police and National Crime Agency officers - found machinery that could produce 258,000 pills per hour.
There were also pallets of boxes filled with tubs of pills.
It was stated that a total of 13,462,000 Etizolam tablets were recovered with a wholesale value of £403,860.
But, the potential value to the Stevenson and his gang would be much higher.
Carbin pleaded guilty to a charge of being involved in serious organised crime involving Etizolam between March and June 2020.
He and his five other co-accused will be sentenced next month and were remanded in custody.
