Glasgow's M8 will be closed for almost two weeks to allow major works to be carried out.
On behalf of Transport Scotland, Amey will carry out essential resurfacing works on the westbound carriageway of the motorway at Junction 26 (Hillington).
The works will be carried out between the Junction 26 on-slip and the Hillington footbridge from Monday, October 7 until Saturday, October 19, between 10pm and 6am each night.

However, no work will take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13.
The road firm says the road will be shut during the works but a diversion will be in place for motorists.
The diversion will be as follows:
- Westbound traffic will leave the M8 at Junction 26 and take the third exit at Hillington Roundabout onto the A736 Hillington Road and continue to the A8 Glasgow Road westbound and Glebe Street. Traffic will then turn left onto the A741 Paisley Road/ Renfrew Road before taking the third exit at Abbotsinch Roundabout to re-join the M8 westbound.
