AZAELIA Banks has called Glasgow "special" a week after her O2 gig.

The rapper and singer-songwriter, best known for her 2011 hit 212, has said she 'loves' the city on social media. 

Banks had taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to share her thoughts on Birmingham when a follower responded sating "now lets hear what you gotta say about Glasgow".

She responded: "I love Glasgow.

"I dunno if it's on the hearth earth Chakra lay lines with Glastonbury and Shaftesbury but it was giving kundalini unravelling, spinal alignment, tension melting pineal gland on being.

"Glasgow is special."

Banks performed at the O2 on Wednesday, September 18 as part of her Back To The Union Jack UK tour.

The 33-year-old didn’t come on stage until just after 10, more than an hour late, forcing her to put on a condensed show that lasted around 45 minutes

Ahead of the show, she ordered a meal from Byres Road eatery Juicy.
