AN American music legend is set to play his first show in Edinburgh for 46 years.
Billy Joel will return to the capital next year as part of just two European tour dates.
The Piano Man will take to the stage in Murrayfield Stadium on June 7, 2025, before heading to Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on June 21.
Tickets are set to go on sale on Friday, October 4 at 10am, with demand expected to be high.
The shows follow his sold-out one-off performance at Principality Stadium in Cardiff earlier this year.
Joel is best known for hits such as Piano Man, We Didn’t Start The Fire, and Uptown Girl.
Over his career he has sold more than 85 million albums in the United States, making him the country’s fourth best-selling solo artist of all time.
Scottish Rugby has stated that members of the Scotland Supporters Club will be able to purchase tickets to the concert through a venue allocation, with more details set to be sent to members via e-mail.
Joel’s concert will kick off yet another summer of major events at Murrayfield Stadium, with Oasis’s much-anticipated comeback tour heading to Edinburgh in August.
It comes after Harry Styles, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift all played concerts in the capital in recent years.
