A pair of Glasgow cats found abandoned in a box labelled 'we are homeless' are now seeking a new home.
The two-year-old sisters were discovered by a dog walker in early August and taken in by Cats Protection. They have named the pair Gaby and Bree.
Thanks to support from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, who have raised over £9.9 million for Cats Protection since 2018, the cats have received expert care and are now ready for rehoming.
The pair are currently residing at the charity's Glasgow Cat Centre which has seen a rise in abandoned cats over the past year, according to Cats Protection.
Helyn Nicholl, deputy centre manager, said: "Luckily Gaby and Bree were in a reasonably good condition when they arrived with us, but things could have been much worse if they hadn’t been found when they were."
The centre is now looking for a new home for the cats - preferably one without young children, and with a garden for the pair to explore.
Anyone interested in adopting Gaby and Bree can call the Cats Protection Glasgow Cat Centre on 0141 779 3341, email enquiries@glasgow.cats.org.uk, or visit cats.org.uk/glasgowac
