Tickets are now available for Scotland’s first-ever 'neep picking patch' event in Hamilton.
The Lidl Neep Patch is bringing back the tradition of carving tumshie lanterns offering a fun alternative to pumpkin carving this October.
The event, at Chatelherault Country Park, which is free for children under 11, provides an array of activities.
Tickets can be purchased at bit.ly/4cXhtBD, with all proceeds going to the STV Children’s Appeal.
Attendees can select their ideal neep from a pop-up patch and craft it into a lantern with help from experts in the Tumshie Tent.
The event also includes a variety of games for all the family such as the Neep Shy, Neeps and Crosses, and Bowling with Neeps.
Visitors can also enjoy the Tattie Bogle Trail, live Scottish folk music, and warming food from the Stovies Stop, prepared using fresh, locally sourced Lidl produce.
All neeps are grown and harvested by Lidl’s long-term supplier, Stewarts of Tayside, a family-run business in Perth.
The sessions will be held from October 12 to 14 at various times.
