Two people have been charged after drugs were recovered from a property in Alexandria.
Police officers attended an address in the Bonhill area on Wednesday, October 2 after receiving intelligence.
In possession of a drugs search warrant, the officers entered the property and detained one woman and two men.
During a search, a 'substantial quantity' of Class A drugs were allegedly recovered.
After enquiries, a 26-year-old male from Dumbarton was charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.
A second man, aged 24 from Bonhill, was charged with possession of a Class A drug.
Police Scotland have said that their local officers and divisional crime team will be continuing to target local addresses being used for the preparation and sale of controlled drugs in the very near future.
A police spokesperson said: "Based on intelligence received, officers from the Local Community Team attended at an address in the Bonhill area on Wednesday, October 2, in possession of a drugs search warrant. Once within the address, one female and two males were detained.
"A search of the address resulted in the recovery of a substantial quantity of Class A drugs. All persons were arrested and after subsequent enquiry one 26-year-old male from Dumbarton was charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and a second male, aged 24 from Bonhill, was charged with possession of a Class A drug.
"Local officers and divisional crime team will be continuing to target local addresses being used for the preparation and sale of controlled drugs in the very near future."
