A TACO-LOVING boy has released a song and music video about his favourite restaurant.
Sonny Adams, from Hillhead, has written and produced a song about his favourite dish from Topolabamba titled Chicken Tinga Tacos.
He wrote the song with his music teacher Tom Walters from First Chord Music School in the West End where Sonny, 12, has been a pupil for three years.
Tom says he knew the song was "special" when he first heard his ideas for the tune and he then knocked on the door of Topolabama on Byres Road earlier this year in the hopes someone would be interested in Sonny's debut single.
Tom said: "Sonny came into class one day absolutely bouncing about the ‘most amazing tacos’ he ate at Topolabamba the previous weekend.
"He showed me some ideas for the song, and I thought to myself, we need to make this happen.
"Chicken Tinga Tacos was instantly catchy and formed the hook for the song, so we looked at the menu items and it just went from there.
"We worked out the chords, recorded the guitar part, and I helped show Sonny how to start layering instruments."
Since then, Topolabamba and the Big Think Agency have produced a music video for Chicken Tinga Tacos starring Sonny and five friends, all of whom have attended the same music group.
Sonny has also been rewarded with a Chicken Tinga Taco black card so he can enjoy his favourite dish whenever he likes.
Sonny added: "Me and Tom joked at the beginning that I might get some free tacos out of this, but it’s been amazing that the song has been made into a music video.
"It’s beyond anything I could’ve ever imagined. I’m super happy, free tacos for life."
Iain Gallie, operations manager at Topolabamba, said: "The Chicken Tinga Tacos are always a hit with our customers, but this has been something else.
"When we heard the track, we knew we had to offer to make a music video with Sonny and it’s been amazing to see it all come to life.
"We hope Sonny enjoys his tacos and everyone enjoys the song as much as we do - it’s certainly catchy".
