A pub in Lenzie has secured permission from East Dunbartonshire Licensing Board to extend its opening hours.
The Old Gatehouse in Woodilee Road, which is part of the Marston’s chain, requested that it be permitted to change its Saturday closing time to 1am when it was previously 11.45pm.
The updated license also permits on and off sales from 11am on Sundays and the hosting of events in its car park and elsewhere on site.

In light of objections from the local health and social care partnership, a request to also permit accompanied children to remain until closing time in certain circumstances was amended by the applicant to apply only to New Year’s Eve.
The licensing board unanimously approved this amended version of the application.
