East Renfrewshire Council is set to make improvements to Thornliebank town centre with work expected to begin soon.
Solar lighting will light up dark areas of pathway, with new trees, planting, and fencing also planned.
The back lanes behind Main Street will be revamped with artwork inspired by Thornliebank Primary School pupils.
Thorntree Hall will also be made more accessible, with a new staircase and ramp when the work begins on October 21.
Access to businesses and properties will be maintained during the works, which are expected to be completed early in the new year, by contractor Mackenzie Construction.
East Renfrewshire Council leader Owen O’Donnell said: "It’s fantastic news that we’ve been able to secure funding to enable these improvements for Thornliebank.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the completed project, especially the public art by local Thornliebank primary school pupils."
The improvements are being funded by the UK Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
