Generous visitors at the 2023 IRN-BRU Carnival raised more than £4,000 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

The donation of £4,230 will assist children and their families during challenging times.

Lucy Ritchie from Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity was joined by Greg Cherry, managing director of the IRN-BRU Carnival, to present the giant cheque.

The IRN-BRU Carnival also recently announced 1,000 tickets being made available to community groups and charities.

Margaret Cowan, group operations manager at the IRN-BRU Carnival, said: “Everyone knows Glaswegians are extremely generous and they certainly proved that at last year’s event with their donations.

"We hope to be able to raise a similar amount or more for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity this year to help fund the vital work they do for families in Scotland."

Caroline Young, senior fundraising manager of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, said: "We are thrilled to once again be chosen as the charity partner for the IRN-BRU Carnival.

"The amazing generosity and enthusiasm from the IRN-BRU Carnival team and everyone who attends the event, helps us raise vital funds, making a real difference in the lives of the young patients we support at Scotland's largest children's hospital.”

Visitors to this year’s carnival can again donate, with volunteers collecting at the event.
