An Openreach digital roadshow is coming to Glasgow to promote ultrafast Full Fibre broadband.
The specially adapted vehicle will be at St Andrews Crescent and Cedar Court on October 17.
It is part of Openreach's October tour across the country, which aims to inform the public about the fastest technology delivering broadband to thousands of homes and businesses in Scotland.
The company’s ultrafast Full Fibre network is already accessible to more than 195,000 Glasgow properties, including over 80,000 flats and apartments.
However, only 27 per cent of those eligible have upgraded.
Stephen Chambers, regional engagement manager at Openreach, said: “We’re excited to bring our digital roadshow to Glasgow to talk about our ultrafast Full Fibre broadband, how it works and what it offers.
"It’s important to remember that upgrades don’t happen automatically.
"People need to contact, and place orders through, their broadband service provider to take advantage."
The roadshow aims to highlight the benefits of Full Fibre, including fewer faults, more predictable speeds, and capacity to meet growing data demands.
This is particularly beneficial for streaming, video calls, banking, and customer engagement for businesses.
The upgrade also means multiple devices can connect at gigabit-capable speeds, reducing buffering or slowdown at busy times.
Mr Chambers added: "Our engineering build continues across Glasgow and we’re determined to deliver a great service to local residents, helping people to work from home easily and build connections and opportunities in their communities.
"This network’s also future-proof so it’ll work for decades, no matter how much bandwidth we need."
