Glasgow train services are facing cancellation due to a broken down train.

The train has broken down at Shawlands station in the Southside on Wednesday morning.

ScotRail has said they have staff currently trying to find the source of the fault.

In the meantime, customers can expect delays, alterations and cancellations to services between Glasgow Central and Newton and Glasgow Central to the Cathcart Inner Circle via Maxwell Park.

People travelling on these routes this morning may have to consider alternative routes as the rail firm said they are experiencing "quite a bit of congestion to services".
