A MAN has pleaded guilty to attempting to poison a woman in Dumbarton.
Halo Ahmed, of Shettleston, was facing a jury trial when he changed his plea on Monday, October 14 over the crime.
The 30-year-old admitted culpably and recklessly placing a quantity of the drug dihydrocodeine in a bottle of soft drink which he took to the woman's home.

She drank it and he did expose her to the danger of being poisoned.
The crime took place on July 7, 2022.
Dihydrocodeine is an opioid painkiller.
Ahmed will return to Dumbarton Sheriff Court for sentencing in November.
