Voluntary organisations and community groups in Cumbernauld are being encouraged to apply for a grant worth up to £10,000.

The Campsies Fund Programme 2024 provides financial support for projects that benefit communities in the Cumbernauld North, South, and East wards.

Councillor Geraldine Woods, convener of the communities committee, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for local groups to secure essential funding to support their projects.

"So, they must take advantage of this opportunity to develop their community initiatives.

"I strongly encourage all eligible organisations to apply and develop their activities such as improving community safety, the well-being of communities and the overall appearance of an area."

Applications are open now and must be submitted by 5pm on November 19.

The funding can be used for employee costs, accommodation, programme expenses, and capital projects that can be completed within a year.
