A MEMORIAL for Liam Payne is set to take place in Glasgow city centre this weekend.

The 31-year-old popstar died on Wednesday, October 16 after falling from a balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he had been visiting to watch his former bandmate Niall Horan in concert.

Liam rose to fame as one-fifth of boyband One Direction who were formed on the 2010 series of X Factor and went onto become one of the best-selling boybands of all time before they went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
