Police are continuing their investigation after vandals targeted a retirement complex in a shocking incident which is said to have left residents "frightened" and "scared".
According to reports on social media, the communal lounge was trashed and a TV smashed at Strawhill Court on Strawhill Road in Clarkston last Tuesday.
At least one resident’s door was also reportedly defaced by the vandals.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.55am on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, police were called to a report of a vandalism at a retirement complex on Strawhill Court, Clarkston.
"Enquiries are continuing.
"We are liaising with representatives from the complex with regard to home safety advice for staff and residents.”
Strawhill Court is home to 32 flats and is managed by property management firm First Port.
First Port have been contacted for comment.
