Santa Claus made an early appearance in Glasgow this week.

He was spotted with Bella, the mascot of Beatson Cancer Charity, to promote the 'much-anticipated' Glasgow Santa Dash 2024.

The pair brought cheer to the city, encouraging people to join the fun run on Sunday, December 8, at Glasgow Green.

Santa and Bella's surprise outing has 'got the city buzzing with excitement' for the Santa Dash, a 5K fun run where participants dress up and enjoy the holiday spirit while supporting cancer patients and their families across Glasgow and the west of Scotland.

The event will be hosted by TV and radio personality, Bryan Burnett.

Maisie McCormick, community fundraising manager at Beatson Cancer Charity, said: "It’s wonderful to see Santa and Bella out and about, spreading some early Christmas magic.

"The Santa Dash is always such a fun, uplifting event, and it’s great to see people already getting excited.

"We’re looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up and coming together to support those affected by cancer.

"The Santa Dash isn’t just about running—it’s about creating joy, bringing the community together, and helping raise vital funds for cancer patients and their families.

"We hope everyone joins in and makes this year’s event one to remember."

The Santa Dash welcomes everyone to run, jog, or walk the route, focusing on fun and raising money for a good cause.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome, and there’s even a prize for the best-dressed Santa, so get creative with your costumes.
