A manhunt is underway after a thug with a 'gun' tried to rob a store in Renfrew.
The incident took place at a premises on High Street at around 4.30pm on Sunday, October 27.
During the situation, two people entered a shop in the area.
Officers say one of them, a man, claimed to have a firearm and demanded money but no weapon was seen.

The force says no money was handed over either.
Meanwhile, the other person, a woman, nicked an item. The pair then left the shop in the direction of the town centre.
Luckily, no one was injured during the horror situation.
Cops have now launched a desperate search for the culprits.
The man is described as being white, aged 40 to 50 years old, of slim build and short stature with receding grey hair.
During the theft, he was wearing a black top and jeans.

The woman is described as being white, around 35 to 45 years old, of slim build with long black hair.
She was wearing a dark-coloured jacket and light-coloured jeans and carrying a red shopping bag.
Now, police are urging anyone with information on the shocking incident to come forward.
Detective Constable James Campbell said: “Fortunately no one was injured but the staff member was left shaken and upset by what happened.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and we are asking anyone who recognises the suspects or has information about them to get in touch.
“We are also asking anyone driving in the general area at the time to check their dash-cam to see if they have captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
